I'm a builder at heart. Software, organisations, products, and more recently things made from wood. I'm a husband, dad and dog-dad; a wine aficionado; and a rugby player and fan.

Professionally, I've spent more than a decade in technology and engineering leadership, most recently across product, platform, trust and security at Monzo. These days, I'm enjoying early fatherhood and exploring what comes next; whilst building side projects, learning to woodwork, and diving deep into engineering, leadership, wine and anything else that has caught my curiosity.

2020 — 2026

Engineering Manager — Product, Platform & Security

Led multi-team engineering groups across Security Platform, Detection Engineering and Customer Trust & Safety — spanning customer-facing protection products, internal security platforms and detection capabilities.

—Scaled Security Engineering from a 12-person function into a multi-squad organisation, and designed the 8-squad operating model adopted for 2025+ planning.
—Led teams shipping the award-winning, industry-first Call Status (700k+ customers daily) and Added Security, protecting £1.2bn+ in customer funds.
—Built internal security platforms including an in-house SIEM processing 1bn+ events/minute, and developed multiple engineers into technical and people-leadership roles.

Engineering Manager · Tech Lead · Software Engineer

Grew from backend engineer to squad tech lead to engineering manager on Capital One's Web Customer Servicing platform — taking it from zero to one, then leading a web engineering team and cross-tribe initiatives in a regulated environment.
